Yeah, OK. But I did finish, so I'm thrilled! Here it is, laid out on the dining room table:
How about some close ups? Remember, a piece of BDU fabric from my husband's old uniforms is at the center of each block!
The rest of the fabrics are all patriotic or US military-themed. This is quite possibly my favorite corner - and it was totally unplanned!
One of my favorite fabs:
"... one nation under God ..." |
Here is a look at the back:
I wanted to set it somewhere near natural daylight for a nice shot. This ottoman seemed like a cozy, inviting place:
(For those of you who read the Army of Four Digest, please check out Maggie's take on "cozy and inviting".)
And yes, when I set it out on the floor to try to shoot the whole quilt ...

I washed it and now it looks even better.
It feels so good to have finished this! Thanks so much for reading!

I truly love this quilt of yours, the patriotic theme, a piece of your husband's uniform in each block, the design, the binding, the back, ok, the whole piece!!!:-)Fantastic job! Maggie and Cammie do look pretty nice on it! Once again, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteTake care,

The front is so beautiful and so special and I love the backing too! The girls show it off well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quilt! And it looks even better when you have those canine models to really show it off.
