Mine is similar in that Charlie had a work bench top (much like a butcher block) that he decided not to use in his workshop so he built a cabinet under it (on wheels too). I covered it in a layer of thin foam and then made a cover that I used elastic to keep it around the top. It's 2' x 6'.
